Waking up in the morning, putting on a bikini, crossing the street, and putting your feet on the white sand, seeing the children running to the calm and warm sea on the most beautiful beach in the United States (and oh, it was ranked the #1 beach in the United States, so it’s not just me who thinks so!). It sounds like a dream, but that was the description of our days in Sarasota. I’ve written several times here on the blog how much I love this beach and this time, we stayed right in front of it.
Our choice this time was the Ringling Beach House, which is exactly what the name says: a beach house in Siesta Key that is ranked on Trip Advisor as #1 in the specialty lodging category. The “beach house” has several suites, all named after the Ringling Brothers circus, which is practically an institution in the city, and here I’ll tell you about our experience there.

Checkin
There is a reception on site that operates from 10 am to 5 pm, but since we encountered a lot of traffic and rain on the road, we arrived with the office closed, but in my email inbox, there were detailed instructions on how to get the key, where to park, and how to access the WiFi. In the reception itself, there is a sign informing that if you arrive outside office hours, there are instructions for you. We arrived in the room and found a little beach bucket for Dylan filled with snacks, shells, mineral water, and a welcome card – which I found out from reading some reviews they always do according to the family. I thought it was a cute and personal touch! The next day we met the reception staff who are there if we need anything.
The Units
There are a total of 10 suites, 9 two-bedroom suites, and the difference between them is the number of bathrooms and space, and 1 three-bedroom unit. They accommodate from 5 to 8 people and are perfect for families. Prices range from US$160.00 to US$249.50 in the low season from April 26 to December 19 and US$220.00 to US$320.00 in the high season from December 20 to April 26. Some have a small balcony, others a terrace, all with colorful chairs.

Our Suite:
We stayed in the Stallion Suite which has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom and is located in front of the property next to the office. The decoration is in pastel colors, with cute beach details in the decor. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, flatscreen TV, a closet, and chairs. The second bedroom had two single beds, a closet, and a TV. The living room has a cable flatscreen TV, a sofa (which turns into a sofa bed), and a table for 4 people.

The kitchen has a stove, microwave, refrigerator, dishwasher, and all necessary utensils such as plates, glasses, cutlery. The bathroom comes with towels and small bottles of shampoo and soap. If you’re staying for more than two days, it’s good to bring your own.

Everything was very clean and you can notice the attention to detail in the decoration and comfort. There are signs around the house with instructions, from how to set up the air conditioning, to finding TV channels and so on.
The only downside to my room is that it faced the street, and since I’m used to sleeping in total silence, I woke up once or twice with the noise of cars passing by. If you also have light sleep, I recommend getting one of the units that has the bedroom facing the back. The boys slept in the back room and didn’t hear anything.
It was great to feel at home and in a cozy house. Especially perfect for families traveling with children because besides having more space, having a kitchen is essential.
Amenities
There are two pools on the property with several BBQ grills that guests can use and areas like a gazebo to enjoy the late afternoon. They lend beach chairs and toys for the beach.

WiFi is already included in the price and is available throughout the property, I was able to work comfortably from there. Parking is also included and is located behind the main building.
Location
What I liked most here was undoubtedly the location. It is located on Beach Drive, “across the street” from Siesta Key Beach, just wake up, cross the street and put your feet on the sand. It is also very close to Siesta Key Village (4 blocks), which is the downtown area of Siesta Key full of shops, bars, and restaurants. You can park your car and walk to all places, which solves a serious problem, especially on weekends: finding parking at the beach or in the Village.
Here is a map that gives you an idea of the units and the beach. Literally two minutes until you have your feet in the sand!
Details before booking:
– Since there are only 10 units, bookings need to be made in advance as they fill up quickly.
– Bookings must be for a minimum of two nights, or three nights if starting on Friday or Saturday (except from September 15 to December 15). During the high season, the minimum may be one week.
We loved staying at Ringling Beach House and can’t wait to go back.
