During our last trip to New York, we stayed in three different hotels to enjoy different parts of the city. The Ritz Carlton Battery Park was the second during the trip and surprised us with a wonderful view of Battery Park, Ellis Island and.. the Statue of Liberty.

The Ritz-Carlton Battery Park is one of the two hotels of the brand in the city. The other, Ritz-Carlton Central Park, I talked about in this post. The main difference between the two is that this one, located in Downtown, was built more recently and has a more modern decor compared to its sibling in Central Park that follows a classic style. The hotel caters more to the business public staying in Downtown, but it is a great option for tourists as well who can stay in a luxurious hotel at more affordable prices.

The lobby is very spacious and check-in was done in minutes. When we arrived, a family was also checking in and the traditional toy box they have, with treats for the kids, was a hit. D. wasn’t with us this time, but in other stays at the Ritz-Carlton, he had a blast with the toys.
Our room had a wonderful view of the Statue of Liberty and some rooms have a telescope, which you can use to see things up close. The decor, luxurious with contemporary touches, has all the modern amenities we need. In our room, they left treats… chocolates with a sculpture of the Statue of Liberty also made of chocolate.
We stayed in the Club Level, which gives us access to the Club Lounge for breakfast and snacks from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. My husband took advantage of the Club Lounge while I had work meetings. I didn’t even have time to take photos of the area.
The bathroom is all marble, beautiful, with a separate bathtub and shower and the toilet on the opposite side. Robe and products are from their own brand.
The location couldn’t be more perfect. The Bowling Green subway station is a few blocks away and a delightful activity is to watch the sunset in Battery Park, which is just across the street, or… from your room. The area is always lively and is a great spot to stay and see the attractions of Lower Manhattan.
