Lu suggested that I share my favorite restaurants in London here, and I wasn’t very excited at first. In my mind, I didn’t know enough places to make a decent post that could serve as a recommendation. Boy, was I wrong! I started jotting down the places I’ve already visited – both those I went to once to celebrate something special and those I keep going back to and know the menu by heart – and to my surprise, the list was quite long, with 25 names!
So here you’ll find a bit of everything: chain restaurants, amazing finds, very cheap places, or that “special” corner that is slightly out of budget but provides a worthwhile experience. I enlisted my husband’s help to remember restaurants we visited during our over 4 years living in London that deserved to be part of this post. So, let’s get started? Click on the restaurant’s name to be redirected to their respective page – where you can find address, contact, and opening hours. It is recommended to make a reservation if the restaurant offers this possibility.

Where to eat in London – I’ve been, liked, and recommend!
Aji – I have an emotional connection with Aji: it was there that I met Flavia in person, we had known each other for many years through our blogs. Nowadays she lives in Phoenix, USA, but whenever I go there, I remember her. I think Aji is a secret that needs to be revealed: it is just a few meters from the London Eye, in the same building as the London Marriott County Hall and the Aquarium, but it’s always empty. Go figure. The food – many noodle/yakisoba variations and other Asian options (like dumplings) – is great, and the price is also very good. You can eat for less than £10 per person. The entrance is kind of hidden, it’s a small door almost on the corner of Westminster Bridge Rd. and Belvedere Rd.
